How to Organize a Rule of Law Day Project

The Process: From First Contact to Annual Event

Step  Three -- We've Just  Gotta Get Organized!

The key to a successful Rule of Law Day event is organization -- fortunately, this is where the Center for Teaching the Rule of Law is able to offer assistance.

Once your bar association has agreed to participate in a Rule of Law Day Event, you can call on the Center for Rule of Law for the following administrative and organizational assistance:
  1. A presentation to your bar association (with a CLE option) to introduce the Rule of Law Project
  2. Access to an online volunteer sign-up system to match teachers and lawyers/judges for individual presentations (Classroom or Assembly Break-out Sessions)
  3. A training session with the volunteers and teachers
  4. For Assemblies and Rule of Law Fairs, assisting in organizing events including mock trials, scavenger hunts, and other activities
  5. For Field Trips, liaising with courts and historical sites

Reach out to the Center for Teaching the Rule of Law for for information on these services.
