Presentations“‘The law is not a ‘light’ for you or any man to see by; the law is not an instrument of any kind. The law is a causeway upon which, so long as he keeps to it, a citizen may walk safely.’”
-Robert Bolt, A Man for All Seasons |
Democracy’s most significant challenge today is educating citizens about the importance of the rule of law and the need to promote, preserve and protect it. While our collaborative initiatives offer programs to meet specific needs of unique audiences, we also serve as advocates who present individual programs on a variety of rule of law-related issues for community groups, the legal and educational professions, foreign visitors, historical associations, and others. These free presentations are designed to meet the specific content needs and time restrictions of each group. Whether a short historical overview of the rule of law, a discussion of Magna Carta, the rule of law and the Founding Fathers, or an analysis of the rule of law in To Kill a Mockingbird, our presentations reflect the key principles embedded in the rule of law, principles that form the “causeway” to a world of freedom and liberty.
